Overview:
Ok, don’t let the price scare you. I love this tent!! I was not brought up camping. It took Galen seven years of us riding two up before he convinced me we needed to add camping to the mix. I will admit I wasn’t excited about camping on the bike so Galen did all the research and ordered everything we would need. This tent was top on his list. I will say it is one of the best purchases we have made to date. It is extremely easy to put up and take down. It comes with its own roll up stuff sack which holds everything but the footprint. (In 2011 the footprint was sold separate). The stuff sack has separate compartments for the stakes and poles. This helps keep things like tent stakes from damaging the tent itself when stored. The large two doors allow both of us access without having to climb over each other or our gear. The size is perfect for two people plus gear. I love that it has a vestibule on each side. Our riding boots stay covered under the vestibule which protects them from the elements and bonus you don’t have to store your muddy boots in the tent. The tent does come with a gear caddy which is handy for our headlamps, phones and my eye glasses. The tent is easy to set up and take down. I am amazed how well the tent handles high winds. We have camped in some pretty serious rain storms and the rainfly keeps the interior dry. Just plain all around awesome tent. When adding camping to your motorcycle trips start with the best tent you can afford. This is a great tent for couples. This tent is also offered in a 2 person version if you are riding solo.
